Aerobus from/to airport

This is a shuttle service between the airport and the city center. Aerobus has two stops in the city; one in Catalonia Plaza and the other in Plaza Espanya, from which you will be able to switch to the metro in order to reach more destinations within the city. The bus is available at any of the airport terminals. Its driving frequency is every 15 minutes during the day.

Tickets to both T1 and T2 cost €5.30 for a single and €9.15 for a return (return ticket valid for 9 days).

Metro and Bus tickets

You can buy tickets for individual journeys for the metro at €2.00 per ticket. But if you are here for more than one day or intend taking more than 5 journeys on the metro or buses it’s better to buy the T10 ticket. A T10 will give you 10 journeys on the metro, FGC (FGC run train lines similar to the metro around the city centre) buses, tram and RENFE all Zone 1 areas. The main city centre areas are all in Zone 1. A T10 costs only €9.25 and will save you the trouble of buying individual tickets for each journey as well as saving you money.

TMB Airport Bus To City Centre (Number 46)

This bus operates during the day between the hours of 05:00 to 00:15 at night from both airport terminals. The no. 46 bus travels from the city centre stopping first at T2. It then continues on to T1. This bus has more stops than the Aerobus and takes more time to travel to the city centre, however, the big advantage of using this bus is you can use the T10 transport ticket on this journey unlike for the Aerobus.

Airport Night Bus: NitBus N17

NitBus is the bus that operates between Barcelona Airport and the city centre during the hours of 23:00 (from T1) and 04:40 (from T1). Ticket price for a single is €2.00. You can also use the T10 on this bus.

Trains from/to Barcelona Airport

The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city centre. Travel time approximately 25 minutes.
A single ticket to Sants Station costs €3.60 alternatively you can use the T10 Ticket for your journey to and from the airport to Sants Station. The T10 ticket can also be used for other journeys on the buses and metro.

Girona airport to Barcelona

The Barcelona bus is probably the most convenient method of transfer between Girona Airport and Barcelona city centre. The bus stops right outside the airport and will take you to Estacio d’ Autobuses Barcelona Nord (Barcelona’s main bus terminal) in Barcelona city centre. From there you can take the metro system to take you to your final destination. The nearest Metro stop to the bus station is Metro Arc De Triomf (Red Line, L1).

Tickets cannot be reserved in advance and cost €14.00 for a single and €23.00 for a return.
