This was my first trip to Spain and really my first time going out of the country by myself. I’ve had experiences in the past with hostels and they were never fun and at first, I was dreading the thought of having to stay in one but I knew it would be for the best since I was going alone. I felt much better when I had a friend who is a local recommend Be Sound as he’s had friends traveling through stay there too and my nerves were a little at ease. I finally arrive and I’m just amazed at how beautiful and busy the area is and how easy it was to arrive. I check in and lay down and immediately my adventure began as I’m greeted by people in my room.
I stayed an entire week and met many awesome people who were passing through and staying in the hostel as well and also did some of the walking tours where the guide comes and picks you up at the hostel which was great. It was clean, quiet, the beds were pretty comfy, and you can’t beat the location. You’re in the middle of it all and it’s easy to get around and come back. The kitchen was handy to have when you have a chef willing to make dinner for you and your other hostel mates. The staff was amazingly helpful. My ATM card stopped working and I had zero cash left and they were kind enough to spot me the euro to get to the airport to catch my flight in the morning. I can’t really imagine any other place that would have done the same and I am incredibly grateful for them for helping.
I can’t wait to go back to Barcelona because I know I’ll be coming back and staying at Be Sound Hostel! Muchisimas gracias a todos que trabajan allí y besos de Tejas! <3
