Meet the summer with Primavera Sound Festival!

May bring us not only the good weather and a lot of sun, but also the best event that we all have been waiting for so long, Barcelona‘s biggest music festival of the year: Primavera Sound. Taking place in the last weekend of May, the festival turns the Parc del Forum into a massive pop-rock smorgasbord with big name bands both new and old as well as up-and-coming talents and a selection of great local artists. Spanning several generations and genres, this year’s edition features performances by Belle & Sebastian, PJ Harvey, Sufjan Stevens, Pulp, Shellac, Caribou, Animal Collective, DJ Shadow, Echo & the Bunnymen, Einstürzende Neubauten, Explosions in the Sky, Fleet Foxes, Mogwai, Of Montreal, Simian Mobile Disco, The Fiery Furnaces and The Flaming Lips.

In addition to the auditorium and outdoor stages at Parc del Forum (few things beat seeing an afternoon concert in the sunshine with a view of the sea), the festival is also organising concerts at the Poble Espanyol.
