Mecal Air is a series of summer outdoor short films, music and barbeque evenings organised by “The International Short Film Festival of Barcelona” called MECAL, and Poble Espanyol.
It takes place every Friday and Saturday evenings from 3th of June to 17th of September from 20.00 in the evening on the Baluard Plaça of Poble Espanyol, the Spanish village on Montjuic in Barcelona, where you can enjoy nighttime views of Barcelona. Mecal Air presents selection of themed short films and music. At Barcelona‘s international short film festival (Mecal), film enthusiasts can catch the best movie bites from around 3000 entries. As well as the competitive strand, there are also themed short film cycles.
An exclusive chill out with hammocks to enjoy the good company of the night views of Barcelona is waiting for you. Moreover audio and video selections, that each week will have different subjects like: sex, terror, humor, love… You can also try the outdoor barbeque and there will be a full service bar. From 20h to 21h the beer is only 1 euro!
