Be Hostels invites you to go to an interesting and entertaining event this autumn in Barcelona: The XVIII Manga Fair 2012! Put on your manga costumes and make this comic world your own! A stay at Be Hostels makes it possible!
If you like Manga, anime and Japanese culture, you have to come to the Manga fair taking place from the 1st to the 4th of November. The fair is located at the Fira de Barcelona Montjuic and the entrance price is €6. Exception: If you dress like a Manga character, anime or video game, admission is free on Friday, November 2. The Manga fair Barcelona 2012 is a grand event every year, with fans coming from all over the world to attend it. There are many activities, exhibitions and conferences that form part of the event.
The fourth day Manga fair is open from 10:00 until 21:00, so visitors can have enough time to see everything at the enormous fair. The event schedule is full of Manga films, video games, workshops, and there is even a stage where concerts, cosplay (costumes competition ) and karaoke contests take place. The cosplayers can participate in competition either alone or in groups, with a maximum of 40 contestants in the contest. Each group can have a maximum of ten members. The Cosplay costume contest will take place on Friday, November 2nd from 16:00 h on the stage located in Hall 2 of the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc. Costumes should be based solely on characters from manga, anime or video games, and can be Japanese or foreign -or J-Music. Participants must perform a dance with music of their choice, and the duration of action may not exceed 2 minutes… Just so you know in case you want to join in on the fun!
The jury will directly select the winners for the following categories.
There are also awards be given away for best adventure, girl, adult and child Manga, best Spanish Manga author, and many more.
