Another interesting place that Be Hostels wants to tell you about – Guinardó Bunker. Rotating canon platforms, small tunnels and covered areas, leftovers and graffitis decorating the walls, are things you will find in here.
On the hilltop of Turó de la Rovira, in the neighborhood of Carmelo in Barcelona, you can find leftovers of a bunker from the spanish civil war, which took place between 1936-1939. It was built in 1937 after the first bombings of the city took place, with help of foreign legions like the german Condor Legion, among others.
But the big thing of visiting this site is the amazing 360 degree panoramic view of Barcelona you have on the roof of the bunker, perfect for chilling out and watch the sundown over the city.
And if you really like military infrastructures there is another flak bunker in the city, the bunker of Sant Pere Màrtir.
