Beaches of Barcelona.
The summer is here and we hope you enjoy it with Be Hostels in Barcelona! The one of the greatest things that has summer comparing to any other season, is the opportunity to go to the beach! You have a choice between many beaches of Barcelona, and now Be Hostels will tell you about them.
Barceloneta is the most famous beach in Barcelona and is the closest one to the city center. If you walk to Colom at the end of Ramblas you have about a 15 walk to the beach. The Barceloneta is a triangular spit of land that cuts into the sea boats in the old harbour, or Barcelona’s Port Vell, on one side, and sandy beach on the other. The Barceloneta was once the home of fishermen, people associated with the fishing trade and the metal industry, and is now one of the city’s most visited and popular districts. Along the beach and inside the neighborhood there are a lot of seafood restaurants, modern baras, as well as traditional ones in narrow streets.
Barceloneta beach can get very busy during the summer, so if you don’t like to be surrounded by a lot of people, check out others.

The next one from Barceloneta is Icaria beach, it begins from Port Olimpic. It’s usually quieter than Barceloneta during the summer months, that’s why it’s more like a family place, although the area is full of different bars. It’s worth visiting if you want more space and relax.
